Quindalup Afternoon
Quindalup Afternoon - Original Acrylic on Canvas
This is my local beach where I walk in the summer. In the mornings every man and his dog is down there; it is a very popular dog walking beach due to the extensive sandbars out in the bay. I love the long summer afternoons here with the easy westerley glassing off the water and the long shadows stretching across the beach.
Geographe Bay is a broad, expansive bay that hosts pods of whales in the springtime as they rest with their calves on their way up North. The bay was named after one of the French Baudin's Expedition tall ships, called the Geographe.
