I often hike along the Cape To Cape track, taking in the expansive views, enjoying the pounding ocean and examining the flora as I move through different areas, noticing the seasonal changes. This part of the track is always beautiful and the cliffs are a unique structure and ecosystem along the track.
 
In this painting I was experimenting with the use of the palette knife, encouraging myself to use thick, textural paint, and a looser, more expressive style.
